Borde Hill Garden is nestled in 200 acres of English Heritage listed woodland and parkland. The Garden was created in 1892 by the current owner’s great grandfather and plant expedition sponsor, Colonel Stephenson R Clarke. The impressive Garden boasts a botanically rich and nationally important collection of trees and shrubs. The formal Garden is planted as distinctive garden ‘rooms’ overlooked by the Mansion House, dating back from 1598. There are woodland and lakeside walks, views of the OuseValley and Victorian viaduct.

Located near to a number of other beautiful gardens, we are an excellent destination for groups touring the Sussex counties. A majority of the Garden has gentle sloping pathways and offer good accessibility, we offer a restricted mobility map. Numerous benches in scenic locations, free wheelchairs can be reserved.

There is also: a café and award-winning restaurant, gallery, gift shop and plant sales. The House can be opened for tours by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

For all groups we offer FREE entry for coach driver and group leader. Also, a £5.00 Café voucher for the coach driver.

Group prices are per person and apply to group sizes of 15+ when paid at least two weeks in advance.
