Glamis Castle is the ancestral home of the Earls or Strathmore and Kinghorne, Childhood home of QM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and legendary setting for Shakespeare’s play Macbeth. Our professional guides put the personal touch into guided group tours and our friendly shop and catering staff understand group requirements. We can organise a group lunch to coincide with your visit or simply let our guide know that your group are particularly interested in a particular theme.

There is ample coach parking adjacent to the entrance of the castle. The castle tour may not be suitable for wheelchair users because of the stairs; however, a DVD of the tour is available to view in the castle ‘Hub’

All group leaders and drivers are admitted free of charge and issued with refreshment vouchers.

Additionally, we have a small number of foreign language speaking guides who will conduct the tours in French/German/Spanish/Italian/Swedish/Norwegian at no extra cost. When no language guide is available, we invite the group leader to translate.
