Explore the excavations which first unearthed the Viking-Age city of York and discover the truth about the people that lived there. Built on the very site where archaeologists discovered over 40,000 Viking-Age artefacts, this is now your chance to get up-close to 1,000 year old houses as they are revealed beneath your feet.  Experience the Viking-Age city as you travel onboard our state-of-the art capsules, encounter the citizens that lived there, see inside their houses and backyards, and experience all the sights, sounds and smells of Jorvik.

JORVIK has always been at the cutting edge of historical and archaeological interpretation but now, with the new developments, even more so. Even if you have been before, you have to come again.
