Milton KeynesMuseum is located in the peaceful surroundings of Stacey Hill Farm, built early in the Victorian era as a model farm. It is located on the outskirts of Wolverton, one of the UK’s original “railway towns”. Today the buildings overlook the “new city” of Milton Keynes but when they were built they were in the middle of the countryside.
The Museum’s local social history collections allow visitors to experience the area’s domestic, industrial, agricultural and transport heritage. Housed in a beautiful Victorian Farmstead, our large and constantly changing selection of displays have something for all the family.
Come and use the historic telephones and switchboards; see the museum’s Victorian Parlour, schoolroom, toy room and laundry; make toast in the kitchen; or listen to an air raid in the museum’s Anderson Shelter. Also visit the street of period shops; practice brass rubbing in the chapel; see our hall of transport.
The museum’s Granary Tea Room provides home-cooked light refreshments, including sandwiches and cakes. There is an outside picnic area with tables and chairs, and plenty of grassy space

We have a number of events in 2013, including an easter Egg Hunt 29th March to 1st April; History Festival 11th May to 12th May; Lawnmower Day 19th May; Look at Life 25th May to 26th May; Country Fair 14th July; Forties Weekend 31st August to 1st September; Transport Day 8th September; Organ Festival 12th to 13th October and our Victorian Family Christmas on the first three weekends in December. There are also activities during school half-terms.
Milton KeynesMuseum is all on one floor, so wheelchair and buggy friendly. Car parking is free.
We are open from 11am to 4.30pm from 1st April to 31st October – Wednesday to Sunday inclusive.
