Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, were rescued from dereliction by Anthony Tavernor, a passionate plantsman.  In the last 16 years he has cleared the overgrowth and planted thousands of special plants.  The garden is wonderful right through the seasons, from snowdrops in early spring, right through to hydrangeas in the late autumn.  The sloping site descends to the River Cadnant, with waterfalls and leafy shade on hot days, or dramatic cascades on rainy days.  Originally laid out in the ‘picturesque’ style, the garden has something of interest for everyone.  This year we open our new Visitor Centre and traditional Tea Room.  Coach access is easy, only 5 minutes from the A55 on the A545 Menai Bridge to Beaumaris road.   Enter through the gates and the road leads up to the garden where there is a large turning circle for easy coach drop-off and pick up.  Coach pre-booking essential.
