The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is the world’s leading charity in promoting the works, life and times of William Shakespeare.

We offer a unique Shakespeare centered experience with five wonderful houses, all directly relating to Shakespeare, outstanding Archive and Library Collections and inpiring Programmes and Literary Events all year round. Groups are welcome at all of the Shakespeare Houses (Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Mary Arden’s Farm, Hall’s Croft and Nash’s House/New Place) each with its own fascinating story to tell.

Every house has a themed gift shop selling an exclusive range of gifts, books and souvenirs. The official guidebook with information and photographs of all five Shakespeare Houses is available at our ticket desks and is available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Russian, Japanese and Mandarin.
